Kathy Pierce

PIERCE, KATHY JEAN, of Maylene, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at the age of 47. She loved crafts, was a good mother, and loved working with children. She was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Pierce; her son, Brad Pierce; her mother, Jewel Smith of Hueytown; two sisters, Diane Terrell (Johnny) of Tuscaloosa and Kay Norris of Brookwood; her brother, Randy Smith (Tina) of Bessemer; two special in-laws, Tom and Clara Posey of Helena; former husband, Tim Pierce of Helena; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 11:00-1:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Funeral service follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, Dr. J.D. Davis officiating.
