Kathryn Thomas

Mrs. Kathryn McDonald Keeton Thomas, age 83, of Maylene, AL, formerly of Alabaster, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alabaster. She was retired from Shelby County Hospital. She grew up in the Eastlake Community and is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Hettie McDonald, her first husband, Earl E. Keeton, and her husband, Roy E. Thomas. After Mr. Thomas' retirement from Frisco Railroad, she and Roy were camp host at Wind Creek for many years. She treasured her faith, family, and friends. She is survived by two sons; Robert E. Keeton (Sonja), and George H. Evans, Jr., two daughters; Wanda Ruth Parris (Larry) and Donna Thomas Culver (Michael), eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 14, 2012, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM with Brother Mike Byars officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, East.
