Karen Hickman

age 50, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, died, Monday, July 07, 2008. Karen was born March 20, 1958 in Kingsport, Tennessee to Glenn Edward White and Mary Ellen White. She moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida in 2007 from Birmingham, Alabama, where she had resided for 19 years. Karen had a B.S. Degree from the University of Tennessee, College of Pharmacy in Memphis. She was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church in Birmingham and attended Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church. Karen enjoyed studying world history and loved Home Schooling her children. Her father, Glenn E. White, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Gregory V. Hickman of Gulf Breeze, Fl; mother, Mary Ellen White of Pelham, Al; sons, Andrew Michael Hickman and Hunter Gregory Hickman of Gulf Breeze, Fl; daughter, Katelyn Elizabeth Hickman of Gulf Breeze, Fl and numerous cousins. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2008 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens South in Hoover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Foundation for Depressive Illness, PO Box 17598, Baltimore, MD 21297-1598.
