Justin Reid

It is with great sadness that the family of Justin Dennis Reid, 38, of Birmingham announce his passing on July 17, 2022. Justin graduated from The Altamont School in 2002 and went on to work with his father in residential construction. Over time his passion for carpentry was born and continued to flourish. He comes from a long line of builders, craftsmen and artists which was evidenced by his growing talent. He had a strong work ethic and a drive for perfection that was often hard to match. Justin was passionate about music and spent much of his free time playing his guitar and harmonica. He frequently communicated with friends and family through music which resonated much deeper than mere words. Justin will be lovingly remembered by his grandmother, Eleanor Reid; parents, Dennis (Elaine) Reid, and Diane (Russell) Hoover; sister, Melissa (Winston) Bradley; nieces: Vivien Bradley, Colette Bradley and Genevieve Bradley; and numerous other family members and friends. Justin was predeceased by his grandparents: Calvin Reid, Madge Camp and James Camp. A visitation will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home 2701 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover, Alabama 35244.
