STINE, JULIAETTE B. RAMAGE, of Birmingham, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 27, 2008, at the age of 95. She was born in Jemison, Alabama, August 24, 1913 to Louis A. Bentley and Stella Walker Bentley. Mrs. Stine attended Ensley High School, graduated from Goodwater High School and from Jacksonville State Teachers College. She worked at International Harvester Company, The Birmingham Post, and John W. Galbreath in Fairfield, Alabama. Mrs. Stine was a member of Eastern Star. She also was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church from childhood until 1964. At that time she married Wesley Stine and moved to Columbus, Ohio, then to New Port Richey, Florida, and later to Largo, Florida. Mrs. Stine was a member of Keene Terrace Baptist Church in Largo; then she joined Shades Mountain Baptist Church when she moved back to Birmingham. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis A. Bentley and Stella Walker Bentley; her husband, Wesley E. Stine; her sister, Margaret B. Case; and her brothers, Walker L. Bentley and William Glen “Bill” Bentley. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Norton of Hoover, Alabama; her granddaughter, Kathy Langston (Larry) of Hoover, Alabama; three grandchildren, Matthew, Connor, and Danielle Langston; nieces, Sharon Strongman (Harry), Joan Miller (Fred), both of Birmingham; and Cindy Case of Orlando, Florida; nephews, Ray Case (Donna) of Clearwater Beach, Florida, Jim Bentley of Birmingham; stepdaughter, Noreen Stine of Lady Lake, Florida; and a host of great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thanks to her friends, Judy and Buddy Coggin, and the Friendship Sunday School Class at Shades Mountain, whose friendships have been so close and supportive in the last eight years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shades Mountain Baptist Church Benevolent Fund.
