Joyce Downing

February 13, 1941 — July 28, 2015

Joyce S. Downing, of Hoover, went home to take care of God's garden on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the age of 74.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David M. Downing; 2 sons, Danny Downing (Linda) and Todd Downing (Rhonda); her daughter, Tammy Moore; 5 grandchildren, Carole Ann, Merry Emily, Hannah Kate, Luke, and Grace; 2 brothers, Charles Spears (Margie) and Eugene Spears; and her sister, Geneva Byrd.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 30, 2015, from 6-8, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral will be 2 PM, Friday, July 31, 2015 in the chapel, Dr. Gary Fenton officiating. Entombment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
