Joshua Walker

age 20, of Hoover, formerly of San Diego, CA passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2008. Josh had battled the aftermath of brain cancer since the age of eight. He was a well-loved student at Berry Middle School in the special education program. Josh’s strength and courage were an inspiration to us every day. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bessie and Burton McConaghy and Vera and Norman Walker; and two uncles, Rex McConaghy and Mike Watson. He is survived by his parents, Norman and Ann Walker, and a sister, Lindsey Kyle Walker, all of Hoover, AL. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 29, 2008, from 1:00-2:30 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. The service will follow in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego or the Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
