Joseph Iii

Mr. Joseph Herbert Habshey, III, 37, of Nashville, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012. He was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in computer science and mathematics from Vanderbilt University. He was active in sports clubs including softball, soccer, pool tournaments and was an avid Alabama football fan. He was a beloved son, nephew, cousin and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving mother, Miriam Habshey, with whom he was very close; also one half brother and two half sisters and a number of loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a loving friend to all the many who knew him. He was always there to help any of those who needed him at any time. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16, 2012 from 10 am until 11 am at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with a graveside service to begin at 11 am in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Following the visitation and graveside service, there will be a memorial service in the chapel at the Mt. Brook Baptist Church at 1 pm. Dr. Doug Dortch will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made to Mountain Brook Baptist Church in memory of Joseph H. Habshey III.
