passed away on January 11, 2005, with Parkinson's disease. He was a life long resident of south Texas, where his family moved shortly after his birth in Coolidge, TX, on July 4, 1921. Most of his life was spent in Corpus Christi, TX, where he graduated from Taft High School. Mr. Bayless served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific aboard the aircraft carrier USS Langley during WW II. He also served in the Coast Guard following the War. He was employed for several years at Sinclair Refinery in Corpus Christi. He was a traveling representative for Imperial Sugar Co. He retired from Sears after several years of successful outside contractor sales. He also had worked for several years as a volunteer at area hospitals. He is survived by two children, Sharon Bayless Evans of Hoover, AL, and John Bayless of Streetman, TX; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Graveside services were at Seaside Memorial in Corpus Christi, TX.
