Jorge Md

age 83, of Fairfield, AL, passed away Friday, March 18, 2005. He attended St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bessemer. Dr Martinez was born in Cuba, and graduated from the University of Havana Medical School in 1956. He came to this country in 1957 to do an internship in a Wisconsin hospital. In 1958, he came to Birmingham to do a residency in orthopedics at Lloyd Nolan Hospital. After he passed the Board of Orthopedics, he practiced his chosen profession until retirement in 1992. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Andrea Martinez. Visitation will be on Monday, March 21, 2005 from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Father Ray Keiser officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
