Jorene Marler

age 97, of Birmingham, went to heaven to be with her husband, James, and Jesus on Monday, January 18, 2010. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James; her mother and father; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Janice Prisoc (Micky); three grandchildren, Tommy C. Thompson, Jr. (Ronda), Traci Thomas and James Lee Thompson (Heather); seven great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; a brother, Leroy Vaughn; and many friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 21, 2010, from 12-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Mike McLemore and Rev. Earl Tew officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
