Johnnie Mcdonald

of Alabaster, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at the age of 79. She was a member of Shades Mountain Independent Church, where she was active in the Widow's Might and the Primetimers. Her hobbies were crocheting, crafts, cooking and enjoying her family. Mrs. McDonald was a precious, supporting, loving, gracious mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Hubert Charles McDonald. She is survived by a son, George Edward McDonald (Judy); three daughters, Sheila Kate McDonald, Linda Faye Russell (Joe) and Brenda McDonald-Ratliff (Michael); twenty-one grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; best friend "sister" Wayne Dill; and a host of friends and acquaintances. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2007, at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Michael Ratliff, Pastor Jerry Batts, and Father Grady Barbour officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
