of Birmingham, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2005, at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy West. He is survived by his wife, Jean West of Birmingham; 5 daughters, Bennie West of Lexington, GA, Terry Callahan (David) of McCalla, Janie Key of Calera, Tracy Wilson of Sugar Hill, GA, and Deanna Knight (Warren) of Alabaster; 12 grandchildren, Bo Johnston (Joan), Adam Johnston, Matt & Keith Johnson, Brooks, Noah & Jonathan Wilson, Allison & Ben Callahan, Jacob, Jeffrey & Jarrod Knight; 3 great grandchildren; and a sister, Winifred Causey of Centerpoint. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 31, 2005, from 6 to 8 pm at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Todd Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
