John Tanner

Mr. John Lawson Tanner, of Harpersville, AL went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. He was a loving husband, of 43 years to Suzanne, and a loving father and grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and loved riding his motorcycle. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife; Suzanne Tanner, son; John C. Tanner, daughter; Kelly Tanner, grandchild; Haleigh Tanner, brother; Michael Tanner (Cozette), sister; Cheryl F. Tanner and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Beck and the staff of Bruno Cancer Center for their loving care during John's illness.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 16, 2015, from 1-2 PM at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea, AL. A memorial service will follow at 2 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Bruno Cancer Center at St. Vincent's.
