John Shalhoop

John Abraham Shalhoop, age 87 passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. John was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean War, he was a member of St. Elias Catholic Church in Birmingham, He retired from US Postal Service serving as a Legal Liaison for the Postal Service He was an avid Alabama Football Fan and refereed high school football games for 27 years.

John is preceded by his wife, Georgia Mann Shalhoop, his son, Tim Shalhoop parents; mother, Rosa Arban Shalhoop his father, Monseur Shalhoop, sister, Gail Shalhoop. He is survived by his grandsons, Jonathan (Kristi) Shalhoop and Branden Shalhoop, great grandson, Jackson Shalhoop and brothers, Ronnie Shalhoop and Jack Shalhoop.

The family will receive family and friends Wednesday, June 1st beginning at 11:00 AM followed with a Graveside Service at 12:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery.
