of Tuscaloosa, passed away February 23, 2005 at the age of 79. He was a US Navy veteran who served during WWII. Mr. Pennington worked in automobile sales in the Birmingham area most of his life. He is survived by two sons, John Wesley Pennington, III (Reba) of Atlanta, GA and Frank Daniel Pennington (Karen) of Hoover; one daughter, Nancy Pennington Benton (John) of Hoover; four grandchildren, Amy, Amanda and Brandon Pennington, and Elizabeth Benton; three brothers, J. C.Pennington (Helen) of Birmingham, Herbert Pennington (Gail) of Hoover, Johnny Wayne Pennington (Judy) of Vestavia; one sister, Virginia Walker, of Hoover. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 26, 2005 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Chaplain Shelby Pearcy officiating. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
