John Patton

 John L. Patton, age 95, passed away December 30, 2017. He retired from Alabama Gas Corp. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a long time member of the Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, and son, John L. Patton, Jr. He is survived by daughter Janice Kendrick (Tommy); grandchildren, Angela Tatum (Kelly), Jay Patton (Sherry), Kristi Gulledge (James), Nathan Kendrick (Amy), Josh Kendrick (Mairi); eleven great grandchildren; brother, James C. Patton (Ann); and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Service will follow at 11:00 with Duwayne Pounds officiating. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to RRCP Church, 2404 Altadena Road, Birmingham, AL 35243.
