John Hill

John "Travis" Hill, 74, passed away April 28, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.  John was born in Birmingham, AL and graduated from Ensley High School.  He served in the US Navy where he gained an interest in early electronics.  John was the president of ACR Systems, Inc. where he served with his heart and soul for 40 years, retiring in 2019.  He preferred to do business the old fashioned way, with a handshake and word of honor.

John is preceded in death by his parents John Henry Hill and Gladys Mary Vickery Hill.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Mary Calma Hill, daughter Stacey Hill (Allison), son John Kevin Hill (Devon). Grandchildren Blake Hill, Joey Hill, Brittany Doss, Ashlie Ray, Jackson Bruce and Emersyn Hill. Great grand children Aubrie and Eryn.  Sisters Judy Snow (Cliff) and Norma Zales.

Funeral services will be held at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, 2701 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, AL on Monday, May 3, 2021.  Visitation is from 1pm-2pm with service at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shelby County Humane Society or animal shelter of your choice.
