John Dill

John Lewis Dill, Sr., 80, went to his eternal resting place July 12, 2023. He was a member of Pheba Baptist Church, Pheba, MS. He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Jo Ann Dill, son John Lewis, Dill, Jr. and daughters Brittany Nicole Dill (Jack) and Johnicca Carnley Gayne (Mark) and grandsons Jackson Andrew Monroe, Mitchell Gayne, and granddaughter Brook Gayne. He was preceded in death by his father, Lemuel Dill and mother, Lois Dill; brother Roy Lee Dill, and grandson Jack "Jackie" Andrew Monroe, II. John has seven siblings.

John was born in Clay County, Mississippi, and graduated from Maben High School in 1961. He was proud to serve his country faithfully in the National Guard and was a member of the American Legion Post 911.

Services will be July 22, 2023, at Currie Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Hoover Alabama. Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. preceding the 2:00 p.m. service.

He loved hunting, fishing, and country music. He will be dearly missed.
