of Birmingham passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the age of 81. He was a graduate of Pratt Institute in New York City. He worked as a commercial artist at Progressive Farmer Magazine and Oxmoor Press for many years before retiring from EBSCO Media. He was a long-time member of Highlands United Methodist Church and was very committed to its Community Ministries Program which serves the homeless of the Birmingham area. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Earl W. and Vara Anderson, a brother, Earl Anderson; and two sisters, Ophelia Anderson and Sara May Killebrew. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Chapman Anderson of Birmingham, AL; two children, Sara Helen Love (Tim) of Marietta, GA, and Henry Chapman Anderson (Susan) of Vestavia Hills, AL; four grandchildren, Allison and William Love and Cullen and Cecily Anderson; and a brother, Paul Henry Anderson (Marian). The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, from 1-3 PM at Currie Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will follow at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
