Joedythe Mathews

MATHEWS, JOEDYTHE “JO,” of Birmingham, formerly of Crawford, GA, passed away Monday, November 30, 2009, at the age of 91. Though still a member of Crawford Baptist church, Ms. Mathews attended Hunter Street Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mathews. She is survived by her son, David Mathews (Denise); four grandchildren, Brian Mathews, Karen McBrayer (Mitchell), Laura Sutton, and Trevor Sutton; and one great granddaughter, Shelly McBrayer. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 1, 2009, from 10:00-11:00 AM, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. The family would like to thank Jo’s special care givers: Sharon, Kateria, Brenda, Melanie, and Trudy.
