, of Montgomery, formerly of Bluff Park, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2008 at the age of 75. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a simple man who enjoyed life, his grandchildren, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Frances Joan Scalf Haskins; his father, Woodrow Wilson Haskins; his mother, Mary Ruth Hazelwood; a brother, Johnny Haskins; and a sister, Katherine Ray. He is survived by three sons, James Haskins (Denise) of Tuscaloosa, Joel Haskins (Cindy) of Alabaster and Chris Haskins of Memphis, TN; a daughter, Debbie Deese (Larry) of Fultondale; five grandchildren, Elaine, Brian, Matthew, Heath and Lauren Haskins; a brother, Charles Haskins (Ramona) of Lebanon, TN; two sisters, Pat Tinnon and Susan Elder both of Pulaski, TN The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will be follow at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Haskins officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
