Joan Wyatt

of Vance, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010, at the age of 70. She was a member of Morgan United Methodist Church for the past 40 years, where she was director of the New Life Group and teacher of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Mrs Wyatt was also a member of the Red Hat Society for the past 6 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Neal Wyatt. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Harvey Neal Wyatt; 2 sons, Jeff Wyatt (Diana) and David Wyatt both of McCalla; 3 grandchildren, Joshua, Brodie & Zachary Wyatt; and a sister, Catherine Olsen of Birmingham. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 29, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eddie Bolen and Rev. Ron Echols officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Americn Cancer Society.
