Jo Maxwell

Jo Ann always had a smile for everybody. She was born in Adamsville Al to Mona Lynn Tingley and Joseph Dunn.
She graduated from Minor High School in 1952, also attended Ramsey High School and UAB. Jo Ann had a long business career having spent over 20 years at the Mead Woodward Corporation and over 20 years at the Parisian Corporation where she became the Manager of Benefits. After retiring, she participated in the Real Estate business with her husband.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 41 years, Felix Neil Maxwell, and his three children, Dr. George Frederick Maxwell of Rotterdam, Holland, Leonard Neil Maxwell of The Hague and Leontine Louise Maxwell-Hagenbeek of Amsterdam, plus five grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Y. Dunbar of Bluff Park and her brother, Daniel R. Dunn of Columbus, Ohio, plus six nieces and nephews.
Jo Ann was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She attended Liberty Park Baptist Church (formerly Woodlawn Baptist Church) for 42 years and was a member of the Tom Smith Sunday School Class. She also participated in mission work, having made trips to Romania and Honduras.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 11 AM at the Liberty Park Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
