of Shannon, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2007, at the age of 76. He was a well-known area contractor and was retired from Jimmy T. Vines Construction. Mr. Vines was a member of Pine Lane Church of Christ. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jimmy loved watching his grandkids in all their activities, including sports, gymnastics, and school events. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bill Mullins and a sister, Emogene Evatt. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances Cashion Vines; four sons, Tommy Vines (Brenda) of Helena, Del Vines (Patti) of Pelham, Richie Vines of Pelham and Barry Vines (Sandy) of Hoover; a daughter, Kathy Mullins of Alabaster; eleven grandchildren, Melissa and Bill Mullins, Jennifer, Chris, Travis Vines (Kellyn), Aaron, Christopher, Nicole, Kerri, Blake Vines, and Jackson Weaver, two sisters, Margaret Robertson and Mary Ruth Crane (Leland); special life-long friends who impacted his life, James Feltman and Charles "Mule" Moore; and Eli, his faithful canine companion. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, from 5-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 5 2007, at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Terry Benton officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
