Jimmy Richards, Sr

of Bluff Park, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at the age of 72. He was retired from The City of Birmingham Finance Department and was a member of Bluff Park Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Richards. He is survived by two sons, Jim Richards, Jr. of Pinson and Jerry W. Richards (Nancy) of Hoover; a daughter, Mary Ann Meadows (Jerry) of Helena; two step-daughters, Angie Sandlin of Helena and Regina Williams (Dennis) of TN; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Gaskin (Doc) of Boaz. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 22, 2007, from 6-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Tony Barber officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
