Jim Pugh

Jim “Buster” Pugh, age 79, passed away, Sunday, January 1, 2012, in Birmingham, AL. He graduated from Clarke County High School in Grove Hill, AL and graduated from Auburn University in 1955. He was a US Army veteran and was retired from Sonat. He was a member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Moore McMahan. He is survived by two sons; Marlin Pugh, and Brian Pugh, a daughter, Cindy Hudson Vanthournout (Tom), a brother, Don Pugh (Kitty), four grandchildren; Chris Moore, Stacey McMahan, Hannah and Abigail Hudson, a great grandchild, Robbie Moore, and three step-grandchildren; Tom, Tim, and Lizzy Vanthournout. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 5, 2012, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
