Jim Meadows

Mr. Jim Meadows, of Leeds, AL, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at the age of 64. He was a graduate of Berry High School and the University of Alabama. Retired from Jefferson County, he was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman. He was a member of Midfield Baptist Church for many years, the American Legion Post 107 for the past eleven years, and Hwy 18 Hunting Club near Tuskeegee, AL. He was a remarkably loving, caring, and giving person, who touched the lives of so many people. He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Meadows, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Meadows, an adopted sister, Shirley Sanders, his loyal dog, "Ringer", two aunts, Nell Malone and Betty Robinson (Mac), one uncle, William "Bill" Pigg (Eddie) and a host of cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 9, 2012, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2 PM with Reverend Morgan Bailey officiating.
