Jewel Gothard

of Birmingham, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2007, in Montgomery, AL. She was a long-time member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Houston Gothard; her parents, Ben and Ida Dodd Talley; sister, Catherine Talley McDaniel; and brothers, James Talley, Luther Talley and Nortie Talley. She is survived by daughters, Donna Gothard Allen and Marjorie Gothard Hunter; sisters, Patricia Talley Wilkinson and Marie Talley Murphy; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 19, 2007, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of Montgomery; 1111 Holloway Park, Montgomery, AL 36117.
