Jewel Edney

Jewel W. Edney, 77, of Hoover, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010. Member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. She was retired from BellSouth with over 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Edney. She is survived by two children, Lisa Edney and Michael Edney; one brother, Aaron Wilson; a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends; two special companions, Sophie and Lucy. Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gardendale First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Hwy 150. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to the Gardendale First Baptist Church Building fund.
