Jewel Carter

Mrs. Jewel H. Carter, of Pleasant Grove, AL, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the age of 70. She is survived by her sister, Joyce Whaley, brothers, Billy (Velda) and Harold Harrison, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends. She is also survived by a very special friend, Alana Garcia, to whom the family is so thankful for the loving care she gave Jewel. The family will receive friends Friday, May 4, 2012, from 10:30-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Southcrest Baptist Church in Bessemer, AL.
