CHERRY, JESSIE M, of Columbiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at the age of 78. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, C.E. Cherry; one daughter, Dianne Powell (Joel); two sons, Steve Cherry (Renee) and Kenny Cherry (Regina); five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Leon Williams and Tim Williams (Irene); and one sister, Geraldine Copeland. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2009 from 6-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Chapel service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
