Jess Dixon

Jess Dixon, of Sterrett, met his Lord and Savior Thursday, May 2, 2019, at the age of 72.  He was a Member of a2 Church.  He was known for the greeting at church, "Welcome to the madness."  Jess was an avid bowler, having actually achieved two perfect games.  He loved people, and he never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jess Dixon, Sr. and Mary Dixon, and his daughter, Jennifer Dixon.  He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Denise Dixon; 4 sons, John Dixon (Colleen), James Dixon (Crystal), Stephen Dixon (Rachel), and Alan Dixon (Maranda); 1 daughter, Jessica Dixon Kauhn (Matthew); 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a sister, Mary Janasko.
The family will receive friends from 2-4, Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover.  Funeral service will be 11 AM, Monday, May 6, 2019 in the funeral home chapel, Pastor Chris Goins officiating.  Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
