Jennette Jennings

Jennette Daline Preston Jennings, 67, passed away June 10, 2015. Jennette was born September 23, 1947, to Talmon and Gaynell Preston, in Morgan County, Summerville, Al. She was the fourth child of six children. Jennette was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Edward Jennings. She and Edward were married December 23, 1963, after a very short courtship and were married 48 years. Jennette was survived by their two children, Wendy Tabbatha (Mike) and Terry Edward Jennings, all of Shelby, two sisters Joyce Elaine Hope (Fredy) and Lela Darlene Adams (Jim), both of Bessemer, also 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great- Grandchildren, and a very special aunt and sister-in-law, Aundra Jean Jennings and brother-in-law Donald, Uncle Ed Dyer of Etowah Co. Al, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many friends.
Jennette was baptized as a member of The Jehovah's Witnesses on July 3, 2003. She had a deep love for the true God Jehovah, and looked forward to eternal life on a paradise Earth.
Jennette was a very caring person, she loved people and she loved animals. She had a wonderful personality, very funny, and enjoyed life on the lake with her family. She spent her life as a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, with funeral services following at 2pm. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South on John Hawkins Parkway (Hwy 150) in Hoover Al. Rev. Ken Mobley will be officiating.
