Jeffrey Burgess

Jeffrey Sykes Burgess, age 60, of Birmingham passed away on Monday, October 28th, 2019. He was a loving husband, father, and friend. When he was not spending time with family, he could be found bass fishing on one of his favorite Alabama lakes or creeks. Jeff was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Jeff loved making his loved ones laugh, which he did with ease. Most importantly, Jeff found great pleasure in providing for his family, especially his wife of 33 years.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy; his children, Zach and Meagan; and his brothers, Don, John, and Keith Burgess.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. The visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
