Jean Bearden

of Shannon, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the age of 67. She was a life-long resident of Shannon and was a member of First Baptist Church of Shannon. Jean retired after 36 faithful years with Golden Flake. She is survived by her son, Wade Bearden (Tammy) of Cahaba Heights; her daughter, Sharon Wallace (Cary) of Palmetto, FL; three grandchildren, Brittany and Matt Bearden and Myles Wallace; her brother, Alton Abbott (Ellen) of Birmingham; her sister, Mae Smith (Wiley) of Wilsonville; two nieces, Suzanne Wannemuehler and Brandi Abbott; and one great-niece, Josie Wannemuehler. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 13, 2008, from 6-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008, at 11 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
