Janet Williams

Janet Stanier Williams of Hoover, Alabama, went home to be with her Savior on April 15, 2017, at the age of 87. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Janet was born in Pittsburgh, PA and enjoyed sewing and spending time with family. Janet also enjoyed fellowship with friends in the Senior Adult Ministries at Hunter Street Baptist Church. She retired from U.S. Steel. Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Melvin L. Williams; father, W.E. Clyde Stanier; mother, Mary S. Stanier.

She is survived by her sisters; Elaine Hartswick and Judie Lewis; children, Karen Linden (Marq), Larry Williams (Charlene) and Craig Williams (Connie); grandchildren, Derek Williams, Keith Williams, Travis Williams (Emily) and Kelsie Williams; great grandchildren, Linus.
