This morning, June 9, 2012, our precious Janet awoke in her heavenly home. She was loved by everyone who met her. She was born with cerebral palsy that appeared to affect only her walking, but she never complained. In fact, due to her unusual condition, several hurtful remarks were directed to her; but she always had a forgiving nature, sweet and kind. Janet gradutated from Gardendale High School, 1977, and went on to hold several positions in the work place. Janet was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church for 37 years, where she will be missed by her many friends. Janet was born April 19, 1958 in Birmingham, AL. She is survived by her father and mother, Ralph E. Ozley, Sr. and Elinor Shaw Ozley; brother, Ralph, Jr. (Carleen); sister, Carolyn Burgett (Gene); nephew, Jason Burgett; 3 nieces, Meredith Norris (John), Mary Catherine Roache (Matt), and Melissa Wallace (Jason); 4 great nieces; and 2 great nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Hunter Street Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 2 PM in the church chapel, Dr. Buddy Gray officiating. Music will be provided by Sharon Jordan. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to Gentiva Hospice.
