Jane Schrubbe

Jane Huggins Schrubbe, born June 28, 1930 to Gladys Salter and Earl Huggins in McKenzie, AL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior November 3, 2014, after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer. She attended the Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills. Jane graduated from McKenzie High School and obtained a BS Degree in Home Economics from the University of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Schrubbe, parents, brother, Harold P. Huggins and brother-in-law, Brownlee Fiveash.
Jane is survived by two children, Jan Schrubbe Morris (Dr. Jack Morris) of Vestavia, AL and Dr. Benjamin Schrubbe (Miranda) of Fairhope, AL, six grandchildren, Scott Morris (Helen), Hannah Schrubbe, Leslie Morris, Georgia Schrubbe, Abbie Morris and Adam Schrubbe, two loving sisters, Dorothy Jordan (Dr. Bertis Jordan) of Gulf Breeze, FL and Jackie Fiveash of Tuscaloosa, AL, sister-in-law, Joan Trew of Fort Worth, TX, and her special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 6, 2014, from 10-11 AM at the Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills with funeral services following at 11 AM at the church. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
