Jamil Far

Jamil Aziz Far, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Monday February 15, 2021 with the love of his life by his side. He was known by his grandkids as "Sedo" and his close friends knew him as "Jimmy" or "Abu Aziz".  Jamil's passion was his family, his heritage and his favorite fury friend "Champ" who gave him unconditional love everyday.  Jamil was known for his sense of humor, stories of his past and his love of the stock market. He was an entrepreneur by trade and retired at 58 years old. Jamil had a smile that would brighten up a room and he loved nothing more than to make sure everyone he was around was having a good time.  Jamil loved the Lord and spent many years immersing himself in the Lord's word.  He is predeceased by his mother Nabeeha Far and his father Aziz Far.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Samia Far; his son Aziz Far, his daughters Lina Awwad, Dina Williams (Jason), Joyce Dabbs (Joel); grandchildren Rania Awwad, Janan Awwad, Philip Dabbs, Kaden Williams and Jacob Dabbs; his siblings Nawal Shunnarah, Suhaila Rizkallah, Jawad Far and Dunia Smeir.  Visitation will be held on Friday February 19, 2021 from 1:00 pm til 2:00 pm at Currie Jefferson Funeral Home on John Hawkins Parkway Hoover, AL.  Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
