James Dean Compton

James Dean Compton, age 65, was born the 15th of July 1954. He passed on the 23rd of November 2019. Jim was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He relocated to Hoover, AL in 1993 with his immediate family for work purposes. He attended Kings Way Church. Jim was a devoted husband and father. He knew the Lord as his personal savior and dedicated himself in trying to follow his ways. Jim was a loving, kind, and compassionate man. He was always honest and would give the shirt off his back. Jim had a wonderful sense of humor all the time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Helen Compton.

James is survived by his wife, Wendy Compton; daughters, Kelly (Corey) Webb and Devie Compton; his grandchildren, Skylar and Colton Webb; brothers, Rob (Bonnie) Compton and Steve Compton; and nine nieces and nephews with marriage.

A Celebration of his life will be held at 2:30-3:00 p.m. with his service beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, 2701 John Hawkins Parkway | Hoover, AL 35244. A reception is to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Fullness Christian Fellowship Church, 2575 Columbiana Rd, Birmingham, AL 35216.
