James Sharp

Mr. James A. "Obby" "Tojo" Sharp, of Tarrant, AL, passed away September 30, 2013, at the age of 85. He was a US Army veteran of WWII. He worked and retired from the Tin Mill at US Steel after 39 years of service. He was a member of Open Door Church and was an honorable man. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by a son, John Sharp, and a brother, James Choat.He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gail Sharp, two daughters; Barbara Kelly and Linda Adams, three grandchildren; Chris Smith (Carie), Tracy Shaw (Aaron), and Jennifer Hall (Jody), and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends, Saturday, October 5, 2013, from 10-11 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM with Rev. Rick Cooper and Rev. Greg Jones officiating. Interment will be in Marvin's Chapel Cemetery in Pinson, AL.
