James Russell

of Hoover, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2006. He was a WWII veteran and was retired from ARMCO Steel Corp. Mr. Russell was a member of Shades Mountain Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his son, Benny Russell. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Russell; three daughters, Rhonda Hardwick (Bill), Cindy Hamilton and Charlie Jaffe (Alan); three grandchildren, Will, Lily and Matthew Hardwick; a brother, Paul Russell; three sisters, Ruby Light, Pat Easley and Mildred Deible. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 17, 2006, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Mr. Mel Futrell and Rev. Keith Elder officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
