James Robertson

of McCalla, died early Monday, October 27, 2008 at the age of 79. Mr. Robertson was retired from Hercules, Inc. and was a member of Loveless Park Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grand-father and great grand-father. He was preceded in death by his son, James Manasco, Jr. Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife of 59 years, Edna Herring Robertson; five daughters, Carol Reamey (Jack), Wanda White (Johnny), Nathalie Ray (Edwin), Helen Lindsey (Steve) and Penny Crawford (Marty); eleven grandchildren, Nicholas Lindsey (Hollie), Jacob Lindsey, Tammy Lynn Herring (Harold), Tammy Jo Evans (Brandon), Valeria Hannah (Tommy), Nathan Reamey (Becky), Candy Lewis (Ricky), Daniel Ray (Tabitha), John Olan White (Patti), Jeremy Ray, Carrie Carter (Dan), Samuel Crawford, and India Crawford; and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Robertson (Jerry) and Jack Robertson (Betty), and a sister, Doris Prosser. The family would like to say a special thank you to the workers and staff at Fairfield Nursing Home, and his roommate Mr. Fred George. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. A graveside service will follow at 2 PM in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, adjacent to the funeral home, with Bro. Joel Frederick officiating.
