James Manning

Mr. James Olin Manning, born in Tarrant City April 10, 1936 to Emmett Euel and Pearl Parks Manning died in his home in Bluff Park on August 18, 2013. He served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1963 as Aircraft Mechanic / T-33 Crew Chief. After leaving the service he worked at Hayes International / Pemco Aeroplex retiring as a Manager of Civilian Aircraft Maintenance. He was active in his community, a 10 gallon American Red Cross blood donor, loved by his family, friends and neighbors and will be truly missed. He is survived by his brother Jerry (and Janice) of Dunellen, FL; brother-in-law Phil Tully (and Diane) of Carrolton, GA; son David Shawn (and Charlotte) of Vestavia Hills, AL and daughter Christy Dawn of Milwaukee, WI. There will be a visitation at Currie Jefferson Funeral Home on highway 150 in Hoover from 5PM until 7PM on Thursday August 22. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11AM where he will join his beloved wife, Frances.
