James Little

of Pelham, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010, at the age of 73. He served on the Birmingham Police Department from 1961 - 1985, retiring as a sergeant. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elaine D. Little; son, James H. Little; stepfather, Marvin E. Hancock of Calera; sister, Mary Ann Webb of Pelham; four brothers, Leon Dyer (Clydene) of Blountsville, Roy Hancock (Diane) of Columbiana, Marvin Hancock of Birmingham, and Douglas Little (Lynn) of Alabaster. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Monday, October 18, 2010, at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral service will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, October 19, 2010, in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Alex Goodsell officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
