James Kincaid

Mr. James Monroe Kincaid, of Birmingham, AL, passed into the arms of his loving Savior Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the age of 91. He was retired from US Steel after 38 and ½ years. He loved gardening, Alabama football , restoring old furniture and working on projects around the house.He was a long time member of Berney Points Baptist Church. He served as an usher and a faithful worker for over 60 years.James was also a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fulton and Ollie Kincaid.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Kincaid, sons, Jim Kincaid ( Dottie) and Terry Kincaid, sisters, Bonnie Sue Atcheson and Betty Marie Moore (Denny), grandchildren, Chris Kincaid (Nicole), Jamie Kincaid and Mark Kincaid, and great grandson , Carter James Kincaid.
The family will receive friends Saturday, October 18, 2014, from 10-11AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM in the chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Berney Points Baptist Church.
