James Kelly

September 5, 1921 — November 2, 2014

Mr. James E. Kelly, of Birmingham, AL, passed away his, November 2, 2014 at the age of 93. He married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Sawyer Kelly. She preceded his death on February 17 of this year. He is survived by his son, Jim Kelly, daughter, Karen Kelly Allen, four grandchildren, Kelly Allen Martin, Lisa Allen Gammage, Robin Kelly, and Stephanie Kelly, and three great grandchildren, Austin White, Jayden Hobson, and Grayson Gammage. His family respected and adored him.
He was an innovative business man who started the first mall in Pelham, Alabama. He was a good hearted man who helped many others to start their own businesses.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1:00 PM in the Chapel.
