age 79, of Birmingham, passed away in a traffic accident on Saturday, April 5, 2008, along with his son, Patrick Jordan. He was a trombone musician and played with Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, and Radio City Music Hall and Disney World, as well as, many other well known bands. He volunteered his musical talents in many churches both locally and nationwide. He loved his wife, children, family and friends and would always do anything to help them. He was a wonderful Baptist. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Ann Jordan; two sons, Anthony and Patrick James Jordan; a brother, Eugene Jordan and some loving sisters. He is survived by three daughters, Elise Shoemaker of AL, Patricia Smith and Carol Nestlebush (lone survivor of the accident); two sons, James Timothy Jordan, Jr. and Joseph Jordan, both of NY; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Jordan, Amy Jordan, Joseph Jordan, Jr., Christopher Jordan. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 13. 2008, at 4 PM at South Roebuck Baptist Church. Donations can be made for the Jordan family at the church.
