James Howard

Mr. James "Dagwood" Howard, of Hoover, AL, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the age of 90. He was retired from Sherman Concrete after more than 25 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hoover.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marline Howard, two daughters; Debbie Stanford (Rick) and Dianna Worcester (Phillip); grandchildren, Sergeant First Class James M. Thomas (Gloria), Wendy Brownlee, Jonathan Worcester and Lance Corporal Zachary T. Worcester (Chelsey); great grandchildren, J. T. Brownlee and Logan Brownlee.
The family sends a special thanks to Helena and Tasha/caregivers and Gentiva Hospice.
The family will receive friends Thursday, September 24, 2015, from 1-3 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3 PM. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
